Access

Dunninald welcomes visitors of all abilities and we’re happy to discuss your requirements in advance of your visit.

Parking and arrival

Accessible parking and a drop-off point are available at the front and back doors of the castle.

The ground floor of the castle is accessible by wheelchair. Please note there are no lifts in the building. If you let us know you’re coming, we’ll have ramps ready on arrival.

The gardens are accessed via grass and gravel pathways. The Walled Garden is approximately 200 metres from the house along grass lawns and a gravel path, with a gentle incline on the return to the castle.

The woodland walk has a varied surface — bark in some areas, bare earth and grass in others — with raised tree roots in places that cannot be removed without risk to the trees. The half-way path across the field is closed when cattle are grazing.

An accessible WC is located in the Courtyard.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us in advance if you’d like to discuss specific requirements — we’re always glad to help.
